Performance One System
Solving the problem of ensuring your triathlon and endurance nutrition plan takes care of core health and wellness whilst at the same time fuelling your training, racing and recovery to ensure you take care of your health (reducing the risk of injury, illness and burn out) whilst taking onboard enough energy to power you to victory.

Why is this important? Because it is not just about 'getting enough calories in' - your body also needs other things to be optimal: vitamins, minerals, omegas, phytonutrients - all vital to ensuring your body can cope with training and racing demands. And most athletes neglect these aspects and just eat whatever they can to hit the caloric number. The result? Increased risk of injury, illness, fatigue and mental / physical burnout.

Our P1S (Performance one System) solves this exact problem - we ensure your core health is also taken care of meaning you are then setting the foundations to fuel your workouts on a platform of good health.
Part One - Core Nutrition
The system and methodology that we deploy at Tri 4 Nutrition is 'health comes first'. Setting you up for longer term success means ensuring your Core Nutritional needs are well catored for, meaning looking at your overall health status and putting Nutritional plans and interventions in place to drive as much optimisation in this area as possible. Looking at your sleep, your mood, your digestion, your medical history and any current health issues you have - addressing these first and foremost to give you a solid core from which to build your endurance capacity.

How do we do this?
We take your main meals of the day and we make these all about core health - we separate out the endurance nutrition needs from the daily eating and work with you to ensure the two (in the main) do not cross. This means your core meals focus on the highest quality foods to drive health, whilst the triathlon and endurance nutrition plans are focused on the energy you need to complete for training, racing and recovery. This prevents poor food choices creeping into your core meals (as often happens) for the sake of calories and protects the integrity of these meals and giving you that platform leap forward with.
Part Two - Fuelling Nutrition
Now you have your core nutrition sorted - we then focus on fuelling strategies that work. Your fuelling Nutrition is completely separated from your core meals, meaning here is where you can focus on the thing that matters - getting the right amount of energy for the session.

Knowing your core health and wellness needs are already catored for, we have more license in fuelling nutrition to enjoy those things that help power our workouts - think the cycle cake stops, the Jelly babies to get you through your run and those fast releasing sugars that your body desperately needs when training hard. Of course we will always aim to help you fuel with high quality fuelling foods & supplements but the point is, you can focus here on 'just getting the calories in' without risking your overall health needs.

What's important is that you recognise that if you are burning 5000 calories a day, you can't just eat whatever you can get your hands on - you need to be thoughtful and tactical in this so you can both improve health and then fuel the sessions well.
